What's Buzzing At Home..

Good Afternoon world.com! Figured this would be  great topic to write on simply because its my day off from the "Part-time" job. (Emphasis on "Part-time") but im still working on 3 other projects today for 3 different companies. This is an everyday thing now, I dont just have 1 job. Aside from the marketing postion, Im also an audio engineer, freelance marketing consultant to local businesses, barista & composer. Some might call these "Side gigs" but to me they are just ways to pay bills and acquire things that I want/need. Most of these jobs are done at home which can be a plus but even working at home can be overwhelming. There's no real structure or real interaction with the real world and can be very distracting. Sure this can be a "good thing" to most but it can get annoying after a while and can affect your work productivity. This might be the reason why people spend hours at starbucks or a local park now that I think about it.. Well it turns out that i'm not the only one with this problem and somewhere out there their is a group of people with solutions.. (Who would've thought!). Weellll.... As i was distracting myself from work i came across a Facebook page for a company called "B:Hive Bridgeport". The logo seemed like a "2013" logo for a new savvy tech company who is owned by a new generation of world changers so i obviously clicked the link. It turns out that this was a company asking people to reserve a spot for something that they wouldn't explain.. (HAHA! GENIUS! CREATIVE & made me curious! ) so I reserved my spot and did some research on it. Well it turns out that they might be "Co-Working" space! Ive never heard of "co-working" til 15 minutes ago so bare with me as i find a wiki page and copy & paste the definition.... (2 minutes later) .....

"Coworking is a style of work that involves a shared working environment, often an office, and independent activity. Unlike in a typical office environment, those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization. Typically it is attractive to work-at-home professionals, independent contractors, or people who travel frequently who end up working in relative isolation. Coworking is also the social gathering of a group of people who are still working independently, but who share values, and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with like-minded talented people in the same space." (Taken from wikipedia)

This is kinda cool and definitely something I'm looking forward to joining so if you are looking for something like this as well please check them out at B:Hive Bridgeport ! Who knows? You might just see me mixing a record with headphones or even writing another post!
